The Director

Jhizet Panosian

A writer and documentarian, Jhizet is the recipient of the 2021-2022 Fulbright Fellowship to the European Union, where she spent the year conducting independent research on the aftermath of the European migration crisis. She is also the winner of the 2022 Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators Emerging Voice Award for her very personal manuscript, DEAR ASH, DEAR ZERYA, recounting the experiences of current and former refugees. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara and has since worked in different facets of the film industry, including production, marketing, and advertising.

 
 
 
 
 
 

Consulting Producer

Ryland Aldrich

A producer of both documentary and narrative films, Ryland began his career in 2004, after graduating from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He has produced several feature length documentaries including, Do You Dream in Color, Be the Ball, and One Road to Quartzite. His comedy feature, Folk Hero and Funny Guy, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2016. He is also a Festival Editor for Screen Anarchy.

Viktoria Raykova

Viktoria is a seasoned cinematographer with over a decade of experience, specializing in documentary filmmaking. A graduate of the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, she is dedicated to harnessing the power of the camera as a transformative tool to share global cultures, artistically capture moments in time, and advocate for social justice. Whether working on documentaries, narrative films, or photography, Viktoria views the camera as her weapon of choice in navigating and shaping today’s ever-evolving world. She currently resides in Bulgaria, where she continues to pursue her passion for impactful storytelling.

 
 
 
 
 

Editor

Aurora Sulli

Born in Italy, Aurora graduated in Film Semiotics from the Faculty of Modern Letters at the University of Trieste. Between 2012 and 2019, she was Head of Post Production at VICE Iberia Media Plus, where she worked in advertising and video content and oversaw the development phase of documentary projects, as well as editing and post-production. Today she continues to work as a freelance editor, writer, and director. Her latest work as an editor includes the feature documentary about sculptor Jaume Plensa "Can you hear me?", directed by Pedro Ballestero and produced by Mallerich Films.

Babs Gilly

Babs is a narrative and documentary editor, a tiny ball of energy who loves telling stories visually. She graduated in Motion Pictures & Television from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Babs has worked in the editorial department at TV&More in her native Vienna, Austria, and currently works as a freelance editor and writer.

 
 
 
 
 

Production Manager

Pat Rubio Bertran

Pat is a Ph.D. candidate at Aston University's Centre for Migration and Forced Displacement, researching migration and solidarity. Pat also volunteers as a sea rescue crew for several civil search and rescue organizations in the Mediterranean. Pat holds an LLM in Human Rights Law, where she specialized in legal research regarding borders and migration. Before, Pat worked with several local and international NGOs in Lebanon, Greece, Jordan, and Iraq.

 
 
 
 
 

Executive Producer

James P. Axiotis

James is an American film and television producer, director and writer who is known for his work on The Bridges of Madison County, The Puppet Master, Hell's Kitchen, and Cold Case Files. Axiotis has served in the capacity of Vice President of Post-production and Post-Producer at AT&T/Audience Network. He is in his second term serving on the National Board of directors for the Producers Guild of America and a member of the Producers Guild of Europe, Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, American Film Institute, Greek American Foundation, and Order of AHEPA.
